My name is Jameson, and by day, I'm an Assistant Director of Training and Culture. I love helping people grow and develop, and that passion extends beyond my professional life. By night (and often during my lunch breaks!), I transform into a hobby tech enthusiast, a Linux-enjoyer, and a homelab dabbler.
Think of this blog as a place where I'll be documenting my journey through the ever-evolving world of technology. I'm fascinated by everything from setting up and tinkering with my home server to exploring the latest open-source software and finding innovative ways to streamline my digital life.
Beyond the tech, I'm also a husband and father of two wonderful children. Family time is incredibly important to me, and when I'm not chasing after my kids or enjoying a cozy evening with my wife, you'll likely find me immersed in a good video game or experimenting with various organizational tools to bring a bit more order (and fun!) to my life.
Why a "Digital Garden"?
I chose the term "Digital Garden" because it perfectly encapsulates my vision for this blog. Unlike a traditional blog with rigid structures and scheduled posts, a digital garden is a space for continuous growth and evolution. It's a place where ideas can sprout, develop, and intertwine. You'll find a mix of polished articles and rougher notes, all reflecting my ongoing learning process.
What You Can Expect:
In this Digital Garden, you can expect to find:
Homelab Adventures: From setting up servers to troubleshooting network issues, I'll share my experiences (and hopefully, help you avoid some of my mistakes!).
Linux Exploration: I'm a big fan of Linux, and I'll be sharing tips, tutorials, and insights into the world of open-source software.
Organizational Tools & Productivity: I'm always on the lookout for tools and techniques to improve my workflow and productivity. Expect reviews, recommendations, and personal experiences.
Tech Reviews & Thoughts: I'll share my thoughts on the latest gadgets, software, and trends that pique my interest.
Personal Reflections: Occasionally, I'll share insights into how I balance my tech passions with my family life and other hobbies.
My Goals:
My primary goals for this blog are:
To Learn and Share: I believe that the best way to learn is to teach. I hope to share my knowledge and experiences while also learning from you, my readers.
To Build a Community: I want to create a welcoming and supportive community where we can all share our passion for technology and learn from each other.
To Inspire and Encourage: I hope to inspire others to explore the world of technology and to find creative solutions to their own challenges.
Expand to Youtube and Tiktok: In addition to this blog I plan to make Youtube and Tiktok content to expand the community and reach. Expect complimentary content on those platforms in the future.
I'm excited to embark on this journey with you. Thank you for joining me in my Digital Garden. Feel free to leave a comment below and introduce yourself!
See you in the next post!
